Nour Armenia Tours: Bilingual WordPress & Gulf SEO · 2.37K Clicks in 12 Months
I delivered a custom WordPress build (Elementor, Yoast SEO, Contact Form 7) with English and Arabic on subdirectory URLs—115 pages per language—and launched on time for summer. Three leads came in within 16 days. By month six, four priority terms held position two in Google; GEO work earned #1 in Gemini and #2 in ChatGPT and Perplexity. After twelve months: 4,135 GA4 sessions from zero, 2.37K GSC clicks, 2,473 ranking keywords, and 784 lead-generation events. For reference, see Google Search Console performance report help. Challenge
- Hard one-month deadline before the June summer season—no room for a phased MVP
- No existing site, traffic, or Arabic-market rankings to inherit
- Strong seasonality around summer tour months—content and offers had to be ready before the June launch window
- 230 pages across two languages without sacrificing E-E-A-T or turning tours into thin duplicates
- Technical baseline missing: VPS, robots.txt, and Core Web Vitals (INP, LCP, FCP) not production-ready
- Local and social proof absent—Google Business Profile, TripAdvisor, and Meta not yet working for Gulf discovery
Strategy
Launch a crawlable bilingual WordPress core first, then stack Gulf-localized tour inventory, event-driven editorial, technical SEO and speed fixes, off-site trust (GBP, TripAdvisor, five publisher placements), and generative-engine optimization so AI assistants and Google both surfaced the same offers.
Execution
Month 1 · Build, launch & first conversions
- Custom WordPress site in English and Arabic using subdirectory multilingual URLs (/en/, /ar/)—115 pages per language
- Elementor layouts, Yoast SEO, Contact Form 7, VPS hosting, robots.txt, and on-page SEO on tour and lead templates
- Mapped and published 28+ tour pages localized for Gulf traveler intent
- Built restaurant-section animations with HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript
- Went live in June so summer tour inventory could be sold on schedule
Months 2–6 · Content, local visibility & rankings
- Human-written blog posts (grammar refined with AI) aligned to summer demand first, then updated for later peak booking windows and calendar events through the year
- Remediated Core Web Vitals and PageSpeed issues (INP, LCP, FCP)
- Google Business Profile built, optimized, and updated three to five times per month
- TripAdvisor listing created and maintained
- One-month link-building program with placements on five travel-relevant websites
- Figma brochure for a Dubai travel event based on Gulf market research
Months 7–12 · GEO, paid social handoff & monetization
- Generative-engine optimization for priority tour queries—#1 in Gemini, #2 in ChatGPT, #2 in Perplexity
- Meta Page and Meta Business Suite configured; ran the first paid campaign, then transitioned day-to-day social to an SMM specialist
- After traffic passed 1,000 sessions, partnered with Armenian cafés and restaurants for sponsored on-site profile pages
- Ongoing GSC and GA4 reporting for leadership and seasonal planning
Results
The site moved from zero to a production-ready bilingual property within 30 days, meeting the June deadline for summer departures. Lead flow validated the model early: three form submissions within 16 days of launch. By the six-month mark, four strategic keywords ranked in position two on Google in a medium-competition travel vertical—enough for the operator to compete through peak season. Generative-engine optimization extended visibility into AI search: position one in Gemini and position two in ChatGPT and Perplexity for the same tour intents, alongside traditional SERPs. After twelve months, Google Analytics 4 recorded 4,135 sessions (up from zero), 2m 54s average engagement time, 84,788 total events, and 784 lead-generation events. Google Search Console showed 2.37K clicks, 179K impressions, 1.3% average CTR, and 9.2 average position across 2,473 keywords—30 in position one, 80 in position two, 100 in position three, and 591 in the top ten. Event-led E-E-A-T content, GBP and TripAdvisor presence, publisher link support, and partner pages after 1K sessions turned organic search into a durable channel beyond seasonal campaigns alone.
