American Home Weather: Phoenix HVAC SEO · 28K to 36K Traffic
For this Arizona contractor I ran a technical SEO audit (implemented via their developer), on-page optimization, and a weekly pipeline of ten article outlines—written by an in-house creator and published in WordPress. I built ten paid backlinks per month, produced monthly reports, and managed Google Business Profile (posts and review responses). I configured three key GA4/GTM events—phone clicks, email clicks, and form submissions—plus custom phone-tracking tooling. Traffic grew from ~28K to ~36K monthly; lead volume from ~58 to ~85 per month by the time I transitioned off the account. For reference, see Google Search Console performance report help. Challenge
- Legacy WordPress templates with technical issues blocking crawl and conversions
- No reliable event tracking for phone, email, and form leads from organic landing pages
- Content team needed weekly SEO direction—not ad hoc blog topics
- Local map pack and GBP under-leveraged despite thousands of five-star reviews
- Paid link budget required monthly discipline without spam-profile risk
- Phoenix Valley competition for heating, cooling, and plumbing intents year-round
Strategy
Fix measurement and technical blockers first, then scale trust content and local signals in parallel—weekly outlines and publishes, monthly links and reporting, and steady GBP activity so Phoenix homeowners see an active, reputable operator in search and on the map.
Execution
Technical SEO & tracking
- Full technical SEO audit—crawl, indexation, Core Web Vitals, and template issues with developer-ready fix lists
- On-page optimization across service and location templates
- Three conversion events in GA4/GTM—phone number clicks, email clicks, form submissions
- Custom phone-tracking integration for offline lead attribution
Content · WordPress
- Ten SEO article outlines per week—intent, structure, and internal links for the content writer
- Published approved articles in WordPress after editorial QA
- Topics aligned to heating, cooling, plumbing, and seasonal Valley demand
Off-page & local
- Ten paid backlinks per month—vetted placements with anchor and landing-page control
- Google Business Profile management—weekly updates and public review responses
- Monthly performance reports in Nightwatch, GSC, GA4, and Google Ads
Results
American Home Weather entered the engagement at ~28,000 monthly site visits and ~58 customers per month from digital channels. By exit, traffic reached ~36,000 monthly visits and lead generation ~85 per month—a meaningful lift for a 40-year local brand that competes on trust, not discount gimmicks. Technical recommendations shipped through their developer; writers had a predictable weekly outline cadence; and leadership could see phone, email, and form events in analytics instead of guessing from pageviews alone. GBP stayed active with fresh posts and answered reviews, supporting map visibility alongside organic rankings across the Phoenix Valley. The program demonstrates how HVAC and plumbing contractors can grow leads with audit-led technical fixes, high-volume local content, and disciplined off-page—without rebranding a company that already wins on reputation.
